Usher Concerts/Tours...

Straight from the Associated Press...
Usher will be having a tour for LADIES ONLY at 15 "intimate" venues.

Asked why he wanted to perform a "ladies only" tour, Usher said he relishes the challenge."There's only a few artists that can pull that off," said the 29-year-old singer. "I feel like I've had such a connection with my audience. This album, I felt like, was definitely the type of one that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women?"

To go with the theme, Usher is also planning his own line of lingerie and men's undergarments. He already has a fragrance and cologne.

Usher is currently working on a video for his new single Trading Places.

Hmmm... Well, we're going to have to get a press pass or dress up as ladies... because we're going, ha! At leasthe'smaking the video for "Trading Places"!!!

Usher's Supposed New Single

Usher is lining up 'His Mistakes' as the third single to be lifted from his most recent album 'Here I Stand'. The song will be serviced to radio on August 18th. If I were Usher, I think I would have chose "Trading Places" as the next single... It's more Summer-Fall ish. Then again, I'm not Usher... He must have something in mind.

Usher's Performances On 4Music

5-2008
by ufan08

Usher was over in the UK recently, where he performed at 4Music. While at 4Music he sand "This Ain't Sex", "Here I Stand", "Love in this Club", and "Yeah!". Performances were top notch, as usual. Can anyone beat 'Mr. Entertainer'?! We can't wait for his performance at the BET 2008 Awards next week.

Good Morning America

This morning Ush performed on Good Morning America: Another great performance! He didn't lip synch... he sang it, like he should :) He's really putting in his rounds for his new CD!!! Can't wait for an Usher Tour!!! Maybe this summer?!

Did you hear?! Despite 'Hear I Stand' being illegally downloaded over 1 million times, Ush still sold around 146,000 copies on his 1st day, and is set to be #1 on the Billboard for the week! Support Usher and BUY the album!

Usher does BET

If you didn't catch it... Usher performed on BET last Wednesday to promote his new album. He had a 30 minute show/set... He performed 3 new songs, and one classic. Awesome performances: Great vocals, nice movement and interaction with audience, superb choregraphy, nice band too! Deff. showing that he still is 'Mr. Entertainer'.

Usher 'Here I Stand' Album Review

Alright guys! The time has come. The review of Ush's new album 'Here I Stand'. Let us know what you think about our review!!!
Brendon's Review:
1. The album begins with the Intro, floating around blog sites named "Forever Young". This song is a nice beginning to the album... sounds like Ush may have gotten a bit of inspiration from being on Broadway, though.
2. Next, is the smash "Love in This Club" ft Young Jeezy. We all, by now, know that Polow produced this electric track. It's a great beginning to a highly anticipated album. His confident demeanor is shown as he sings "Got some friends rollin' with you, thats cool. You can leave 'em with my homies, let them know that I got you..."
3. "This Ain't Sex" follows the club scene... The beat is kinda 'back-in-the-day' like, MichaelJacksony. Ush explains to his girl that what they're doing isn't "Sex", its "...Making moments, that will outlast the world." This would be a great song to see in concert; You can actually catch him performing this on SNL and Radio City 1 Big Weekend.
4. "Trading Places" is both creative and inventive. Usher sings in the song "...This is how it feels when you do it like me, we're Trading Places. Gon Get it.." In this song, he takes you through day-to-day happenings of a boyfriend and girlfriend/wife & husband. Only, Ush reverses all the roles. The guy makes the bed and gets picked up by the girl... the girl is the one pushing for the 'deed'. I don't know if anyone else could do this song.
5. "Moving Mountains", as it says on the album cover, is epic. This song gives me chills whenever I listen to it. One of the best songs on the cd: Lyrically, Production-wise, Vocally, and Subject-matter. Unbelieveable deliverance from Ush and his team. Makes this song sound so true. It's going to be an anthem for couples in hard times.
6. Next up is the Will.I.Am produced track "What's Ya Name". (Also, features Will.I.Am)The perfect amount of 'young-savvy' Usher needed on his album. Ush knew he could'nt go all "ChrisBrowny" on everybody, and have extremely Poppy hits. He knows his age and maturity. He's grown. Fun beat, Electric mood, and catchy-as-hell lyrics!
7. "Prayer for You"[Interlude]... This interlude is very touching. He begins with his baby boy laughing and crying a bit. He says jokingly "I sound that bad?!" haha. He dedicates this to his son & makes this a promise to his son that he'll always be there.
8. "Something Special" may be one of the most different types of songs on the album. There is guitar and drums in the background. When listening to this album, Ryan had said "Sounds like a Robin Thicke track"... I don't know if I can sum it up any better. Great, Interesting song. If you like Robin Thicke, you'll like this one. Not the strongest on the album, but definitley worth listening too.
9. "Love You Gently" is possibly the best R&B song in the past few years. One of the best in Ush's career. He sings "Let me love you gennnntlyyyy... Light as a feather, hard as a rock..." His lyrics are some of the best on the album. In the Billboard interview he says this song is the 'Ultimate baby making song'. Hes right... Lovers will be jammin' to this track for years & years & years.
10. "Best Thing" is featuring Jay Z. Overall, this track is the weakest song on the album. The beat is too normal, too indifferent. Usher delivers vocally, but with the beat... it's not captivating, Jay-Z has a couple good lines, but it is really just another RnB star featuring a Rap artist. Worth listening to, though. We would have rather seen "Play Me" or "Echo" or "Just Like Me" on the album, than this track.
11. "Before I Met You" is stellar. Lyrically, Usher shows that he is still stong and in the game. He is showing he's involved with his artistry. This song may be good competition for Chris Browns "I Wanna Be". Usher begins the song with "Just incase I never see your face again, Just incase the worst was meant to happen, Just incase tomorrow never comes... there is something you should know. I've given you every bit of the man I am..." He let's his girl know that she has made a huge difference in his life and that he's commited to her. He's hers, he'll "love [her] for life". One of my favs on the album!!!
12. "His Mistakes" seemed like it would be one of the best on the album, when it leaked. Yet, after hearing all the tracks and the album as a whole, it seems more like a filler. Superb lyrics and arrangement... but still not up to the par of most other tracks on the album.
13. "Appetite" is a fresh beat... great for the car. This is one of the up-tempo songs on the album. The chorus is seductive and pulls you in. You'll be singing this one after hearing it once.
14. "What's a Man to Do" is a great ballad asking, well... "Whats a man to do?!". It's about a man who feels for two women. He's confused and needs some help... he doesn't know what to do. We can picture Chris Brown, Dream, or Mario on a remix for this one. Kind of reminds me of Mario's "Do Right".
15. "Lifetime" is produced by Ush's own brother J-Lack. This track is a great song for you and your lady. Basically, Ush tells his girl that he'll be there for a lifetime, he'll love her for a lifetime, and hes been waiting a lifetime for the one. Easy-going beat sets off the tone for this relaxing track. This song reminds me of a few songs from the 'Confessions' album like "Truth Hurts", "Simple Things" and "That' What it's Made For".
16. "Love in This Club Pt. 2" featuring Beyonce & Lil' Wayne is up next. Cool remix, yet... I don't know if it should have had a place on the album. Lil' Wayne's verse sounds some-what out of place. If the beat was quicker, more up-tempo, it may sound right... Good remix, but maybe not for the album.
17. Ending the album is the deep track "Here I Stand". "Hear I Stand" is about showing that he is here to stay, he's here for his fans, his wife & family, and his friends. "No matter how far I go, No matter how long it takes, No one or nothing can change. Forever yours, here I stand." Very MarvinGaye-esque and LuthorVandross-esque. He takes us back to when RnB was soulfull and somewhat Jazzy. Gret way to wrap up the album.
(*18. If you have patience... about 2:02 minutes after "Here I Stand" ends, a hidden track "Will Work for Love" begins to play. This track is on the same track as Here I Stand (Track # 17). Awesome, awesome, awesome. This song is catchy, and worth the 2 minute wait to get to it. It's about a man who fell on hard times and needs a bit of help. He wants his girl but he needs some love and kindness. Now this is the true way to end a CD.)
In the end, the album leaves, me at least, very happy and excited. I'm glad to have waited the 4+ years for this album. It shows maturity abd growth. The album covers love, urges, grace, percerverance, life, and strength. Usher came out very strong with this album, so deff. go BUY IT and support him. Also check out UsherHereIStand.com for updates and everything Usher. Ryan and I give it a 9.5/10.0. He proves he's still on top... especially with his demeanor, swag, and vocal abilities. Usher's back... are you ready?!

New video: Usher - "Moving Mountains"

Usher's new video for "Moving Mountains" is out. The video is amazing!!! It is very artistic and shows a lot of emotion and power throughout the 5+ minute long story-like vid. Deff a positive video for Usher! It is a continuation of the "Love in this Club" video... beginning at the burned down club scene. A lot of special effects used in the video... as well as a green screen. Everything looks VERY realistic and very well-planned. Usher doesn't dance or do any choreography in this video. We think rightfully so... The vid should send a deep message; and it does. Deff. watch this video, youll be intrigued. His album 'Here I Stand' comes out officially Tuesday, May 27!!!

Be sure to check in on Tuesday and listen to our FULL review... breaking down each song.

Usher: Update + New Track

Usher performed this past weekend at Radio 1's Big Weekend... Link to video performance at bottom. Usher did his thing... dancing and singing his heart out. He also performed two new tracks, yet to be heard by the public... "Here I Stand" and "What's Ya Name"... both sound amazing!!! "Here I Stand" is a slow ballad assuring his girl he'll always be there, no matter what. "What's Ya Name" is clubby & fun... could totally feature T-Pain on a remix. The song is suppose to feature Will.I.Am. of the Black Eyed Peas. In the concert, he perfoms about 1 minute or so of "What's Ya Name." When we get the songs, they'll be up for posting.

Along with his new music, another new track titled "Play Me" was leaked. We had spoke about this song in a previous post. It's a great song with a real electric-house-dance feel. Catchy, too.

We're really feeling Usher and his new music. He's had spectacular beats and production so far... and creative lyrics, direction, and theme. We only hope he gets a little bit more publicity and promotion here in the USA. With the album dropping in a little more than 2 weeks, May 27th, Ush needs to get on some talk shows and tv stations... You know he will... He's Usher. Duhhh.

Usher: Five New Tracks!!!

New USHER song!!! "Trading Places", as posted yesterday, is supposed to be on the tracklist for the new album 'Here I Stand.' The song is killer... shows Ush's voice his new maturity. The track tells a story of trading places, switching roles, with his girl/wife. Three words to describe this song: Catchy, Mature, & Growth. If this is what the new album is gunna be like, get ready and strap your seatbelt, because he's coming May 27th!
"This Ain't Sex" shows an exclusive varitey of range with Ush's new-found maturity. He really uses his voice and shows his range and abilities. The beat is Michael Jackson like... stong rhythm and seductive feeling.
Next new song, "Best Thing". Kind of old school-repetitive beat... great song, would be even better with Jay-Z like expected... maybe this is the version before Jay laced the track. Good mid-album song.
"Just Like Me" shows Ush's ability to "Rap/sing". This song is catchy; kind of makes you rock side-to-side and move your shoulders. Subtle overall beat, but just bangin' enough. He's talking about keeping secrets from his girl, and vice versa. This song isn't scheduled to be on the tentative tracklist, but it's a sure-fire winner!
Finally, "Echo." This track has an original background & beat that we haven't heard before... different than other songs out right now. Once again, not scheduled to be on the album, but its a killa. Ush is proving he and his writers are true lyricists. Fun track, singable, and entertaining. This song controls your ear throughout the entire set. Usher's smooth matured voice laces the track with a strong presence. I don't know anyone else could have done this track... especially as good as Usher did it. Hopefully, it makes the LP! You'll be hummin' this one...
"Echo, Echo, Echo..."
This may end of being one of the best albums of his career... maybe even slaughtering 'Confessions', which is one of Music's most successful albums in the history of Billboard and Music Charts.

JACKPOT WITH USHER SONGS TODAY :)
Shout-out to BMF!

Usher's "Love in This Club (Part 2)"

"Love in this Club (Part 2)" is the new official remix of Ush's original "Love in this Club". The song is crazy good. Everything is changed... nothing is the same. New beat, production, lyrics, new people on the track, etc. Usher brought on the Queen B, Beyonce, and the Best Rapper Alive, Lil' Wayne, to kill the remix. They all kill it with their voices: one hundred percent on tap! Usher has different verses, not the same ones from the original. On TRL a few weeks ago Usher said that he worked with Beyonce and Jay-Z on his album... is this what he worked with Beyonce on? [[Supposedly, Ush's new single will be "The Best Thing" Ft Jay-Z]] We like the remix a lot. Awesome work Usher Raymond! This album is getting better and better each day. With a little more than a month before the album drops (May 27th), hopefully we'll be seeing more TV spots, promoting, and concert announcements. For now, check out the new remix of "Love in this Club".

Usher's album cover & promo pics: "Here I Stand"

Usher's album cover for his upcoming LP, "Here I Stand", is uncovered. We think usher's photography for the album is stunning. This is a great album cover for what the album speaks about: love, loss, new beginnings(child + marriage) and the stresses of being a sex symbol and entertainer AND trying to balance a real personal life with a baby and wife. It's going to be an awesome album. The picture/album cover portrays Ush in the desert... the heat of the sun (spot light) on him... an he tries to remain strong and guarded, protecting his family and his personal life. The license plate portrays "CINCO 1126" standing for CINCO- 5th studio album...and 1126 is the date of the birth of his baby boy(November 26th). This will be a jaw-dropping r&b/hip-hop album from Usher. Can't wait for it!!!

Theres also a few Promo pics for the album!!! Ush is doin' his thinggg. He's looking good and keepin' up his game. One question though... is Usher getting rid of his "U" Chain?!

New Music: USHER!

Usher is BACK! His long anticipated album is finally having a good amount of leaks. Ryan & I have been waiting for these songs for a long time now. The first leak, which is Untitled, is supposedly featuring Ne-Yo. The full song hasn't leaked just yet. Overall, its a great song with a nice ballad-tone that he and Ne-yo will rock all night long, again and again. The song is available on every blog. We'll post it when it 1) Has a name and 2) Is longer that 45 sec. or so. Anyways, we're going to post 2 songs recently leaked by the one-and-only Usher Raymond. One is titled "Love in This Club" and is apparently featuring Young Jeezy. The song we have has been ripped from the radio and is the version rotating on sites for about the last day or so. The song has a mesmerizing beat that makes you groove to it. Usher has evolved musically... it's nice to hear his voice again!!! As for the collabo with Jeezy... Its not a bad match, its somewhat awkward, but Jeezy does better than i originally expected. His verse is humorous and not overly sexual (like Rich Boy in Mario's "Kryptonite"). The download link is below. We won't rate the song until the HQ, or CQ, version is released so that we can hear all effects on the song, voice, etc. The next song is titled "Moving Mountains" and is produced by Timbaland. The cut is suppose to even feature Timbaland on the track somewhere. This song, in our opinion, will be like a "Damage"(Chris Brown), "Come Back to Me Shawty"(Tyrese), "Fiening You"(Omarion) kind of track. When the full version is released we will rush it to the site for download.

Overall, Usher seems to be coming back strong. If the leaked tracks continue to stay strong and showcase his vocal abilities and his ability to be on different beats/tracks, his new album (yet to be titled; or have a release date) will be platinum. All he needs now is some great promotion, an awesome first single & video, and a huge tour with a huge star like Chris Brown, J. Holiday, Kanye West, or someone!!! Get ready ya'll, he's here!!!

Usher & Mario "My Love"

This song is supposedly Usher and Mario, together, for the first time, in a song. The song is titled "My Love." If this is indeed Usher and Mario, then this is a crazy track and what a lot of r&b fans have been waiting for. You can definitley distinguish Mario's voice, the other voice (Usher?) is a bit harder to see if it is indeed the one and only Ush. If it is Usher, his voice has surely changed since "Confessions," not in a good, or a bad way - just jawdroppingly different. This may be a track from Mario's upcoming album "Go!" or Usher's upcoming album. To me, personally, you can kind of hear Usher in the background behind Mario's chorus... "I'll never let you substitute my love..." and etc. If it is not indeed Usher, it may be a new r&b singer, props to that dude for being compared to Usher. Overall I do like this song and do rate it an 8.0-8.5. If we find out that it is not a valid Usher/Mario track, we will correct the post for all to know what's really up. For now at least, download this song. It's a great track... and almost an r&b-ers dream come true -> Usher and Mario TOGETHER. By the way, this song is produced by CornaBoyz.
**Leave comments and let us know what YOU think, we actually want to know!!!
