Brandon Hines: New Track

Brandon Hines has a NEW song! His track is titled "Look Me in My Face." This song has a semi-slow, medolic beat. His voice is very on-key and is projected just the right amount. He uses his voice in a much more mature way than his previous songs, in our opinion. The lyrics are also very well written. I'd like to find out who penned the lyrics and who the mastermind to the subtle-yet-intriguing beat is. In previous songs, it seems like Mr. Hines killed, in a bad way, his songs with the bridge... and the lack of an interesting hook.

This track should be Brandon Hines first real single. I can picture a hott remix with a rapper like Lil Wayne (beginning right after the bridge) or Kanye West. Even a rapper like Common would put a great spin on the song. If Kanye was featured they should speed the song up a little bit for the remix. We give this song a 8.3 on a 10.0 scale. Anyways, here is the song "Look Me in My Face" by B. Hines! Enjoy and Comment!!!!!!

J. Holiday - When you get Home

J. Holiday who's hit single "Bed" climbed up the billboard charts to the #4 spot has recorded many songs recently that didn't make his debut album. One in particular is "When you get Home" which I personally feel should have been one of the first selections for the album. It's a great slow jam that has an old-soul feel to it... overall it receives an 8.5/10.0, hope you enjoy!

New Music: USHER!

Usher is BACK! His long anticipated album is finally having a good amount of leaks. Ryan & I have been waiting for these songs for a long time now. The first leak, which is Untitled, is supposedly featuring Ne-Yo. The full song hasn't leaked just yet. Overall, its a great song with a nice ballad-tone that he and Ne-yo will rock all night long, again and again. The song is available on every blog. We'll post it when it 1) Has a name and 2) Is longer that 45 sec. or so. Anyways, we're going to post 2 songs recently leaked by the one-and-only Usher Raymond. One is titled "Love in This Club" and is apparently featuring Young Jeezy. The song we have has been ripped from the radio and is the version rotating on sites for about the last day or so. The song has a mesmerizing beat that makes you groove to it. Usher has evolved musically... it's nice to hear his voice again!!! As for the collabo with Jeezy... Its not a bad match, its somewhat awkward, but Jeezy does better than i originally expected. His verse is humorous and not overly sexual (like Rich Boy in Mario's "Kryptonite"). The download link is below. We won't rate the song until the HQ, or CQ, version is released so that we can hear all effects on the song, voice, etc. The next song is titled "Moving Mountains" and is produced by Timbaland. The cut is suppose to even feature Timbaland on the track somewhere. This song, in our opinion, will be like a "Damage"(Chris Brown), "Come Back to Me Shawty"(Tyrese), "Fiening You"(Omarion) kind of track. When the full version is released we will rush it to the site for download.

Overall, Usher seems to be coming back strong. If the leaked tracks continue to stay strong and showcase his vocal abilities and his ability to be on different beats/tracks, his new album (yet to be titled; or have a release date) will be platinum. All he needs now is some great promotion, an awesome first single & video, and a huge tour with a huge star like Chris Brown, J. Holiday, Kanye West, or someone!!! Get ready ya'll, he's here!!!

Anyways... here's a great slow jam called "Tenderness" from the soundtrack to the movie, I hope you enjoy it! We rate it a 9.5 for Chris's amazing vocals and it's originality.

Michael Jackson: Let me let go (LQ)

The King of pop is back!... with a new jam called "Let me let go", which is rumored to be his first single off his forthcoming album(set to release early 2008). There is no title for the long awaited album just yet, but we all know Jackson will do his thing like usual. This song was written by no other than Ne-Yo (Shaffer Chimere Smith), who happens to be the lyrical genius behind Jackson's new album. Ne-Yo who is excited to work on this album with his idol, had this to say: "I'm not trying to top Thriller. Anybody trying to top something that's already been done is fighting a losing battle. It was a different industry back then, a different way of thinking and people were easier to impress. Everything in music has been done now, so Michael needs to find his place again". We give this song a 8.5/10.0... we'll keep ya posted!

Omarion & Bow Wow: "Girlfriend"

New track from Omarion and Bow Wow's upcoming album "Face Off". This track is definitley going to be a hit. It has a unique beat, and of course Omarion does his part with his vocals on tap. Bow Wow picks up his end of the deal and gives some great verses. This is one of my favorites from the new album. Make sure to cop it at the end of the year!!! We rate this song an 8.5/10.0!

"Girlfriend"

Mario Barrett: "Lay in my Bed"

Mario Barrett who is set for a late October release of his upcoming album Go!, has leaked yet another track from his album called "Lay in my Bed." This is a surprisingly much more mature song from Mario, and you can tell his vocals have improved dramatically. This is an amazing slow jam and overall we give this a 9.5/10.0... BUY THAT ALBUM OCTOBER 30th!!!

Chris Brown Feat. The Game: "Nice"

Yet another new leaked song ("Nice") from Chris Brown's "Exclusive" album! This track has a hott beat, and I mean h-o-t-t. This track is laced with great verses by both Chris and The Game. CB picks up the pace a little bit by rapping a lil' quick, but its all good. Once you listen to this song 2 times, you are hooked! The Game is a nice add to this song, great choice Chris!!! We are very impressed with the flow of the whole song. Honestly I wouldn't think a song with these two would be Magic, I guess I would have been wrong. The album is starting to unfold, and look great!!! We rate this song an 8.5 at first, but think that it'll grow to be a 9.0, like it did with us! November 6th everyone, don't forget it. Download it, you know you want to.

Chris Brown Feat. Johnta Austin "Miss You"

New song leaked from the anticipated "Exclusive" album from Chris Brown. This song is featuring the very talented r&b star Johnta Austin!!! We hope that this song will be on "Exclusive". The name of the song is "Miss You." CB and Johnta sing about the same amount in the song, they switch back and forth in and out of the verses, hooks, and throughout the chorus. We think this song has a great light beat. There's a DJ on the beginning of the track, when the HQ real version comes out we'll upload it! The song is a great jam to just relax to, and sing your heart out to(when no one is home of course!!!) We are very excited for this new album. Remember November 6th!!! We rate this song a 9.0 out of 10.0. Download the Mo'Fo'.

"Miss You"

Mario Barrett: "Skippin'"

Mario Barrett is releasing his 3rd album Go! on October 30th, has just leaked a new jam called "Skippin' " which is produced by Mad Scientist. We don't believe this track is going to be on his next album, but it's a nice slow jam anyways. Overall we rate this song a 9.0/10.0... Cop that album October 30th!

i15 "Lost in Love"

i15 is back with a great new single! They recently released the video for this new single. The video is pretty sweet, they dance a bit here and there to liven up the song and show a bit of choreography. By no means are they giving Chris Brown a run for his money, but they dance pretty well. Overall, the beat is very original and gets you into the song. Keep this shi* on replay, seriously. They have great voices, even the rapper does a great job with a cleverly put together verse. We give this song an 8.5/10.0.

Hey Guys!!!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for not posting in such a long time... but there hasn't really been a lot of amazing music coming out lately... We try to only put up 8's and up. Basically, the only things that have come out in the past few days are...1) Trey Songz songs("Role Play" & "Sex For Yo Stereo"), 2) More gossip about Jennifer Lopez, 3) Eve's album pushed back until 2008, 4) The "real" version of Usher's song "Touch" (not real if you didn't get my sarcasm through the italicized word "real"), and 5) Kanye West on SNL. Nothing post-worthy by us. When a new hott song does appear, you know we'll have it. We have by no means stopped the site, gone on an annoying hiatus, or forgotten about the blog. We are simply waiting for a great song/album/news/artist to come out or leak.

For now, I guess we will leave you with one single that is a 7.5 from Nasri.(only putting up to hold everyone down for a bit) The song is titled "Gentleman" and is only about 2 minutes long. Nasri also has a song "Half-Time" which is available online on most blog sites, or on our site by request.

Usher & Mario "My Love"

This song is supposedly Usher and Mario, together, for the first time, in a song. The song is titled "My Love." If this is indeed Usher and Mario, then this is a crazy track and what a lot of r&b fans have been waiting for. You can definitley distinguish Mario's voice, the other voice (Usher?) is a bit harder to see if it is indeed the one and only Ush. If it is Usher, his voice has surely changed since "Confessions," not in a good, or a bad way - just jawdroppingly different. This may be a track from Mario's upcoming album "Go!" or Usher's upcoming album. To me, personally, you can kind of hear Usher in the background behind Mario's chorus... "I'll never let you substitute my love..." and etc. If it is not indeed Usher, it may be a new r&b singer, props to that dude for being compared to Usher. Overall I do like this song and do rate it an 8.0-8.5. If we find out that it is not a valid Usher/Mario track, we will correct the post for all to know what's really up. For now at least, download this song. It's a great track... and almost an r&b-ers dream come true -> Usher and Mario TOGETHER. By the way, this song is produced by CornaBoyz.
**Leave comments and let us know what YOU think, we actually want to know!!!

J. Holiday: "Come Here"

J. Holiday is releasing his long awaited debut album "Back of My Lac" on October 2nd He gives us a new mid tempo jam called "Come Here". J. Holiday is an amazing RnB singer and I can't wait to hear his upcoming album! J. Holiday's 1st single "Bed" is climbing the billboard charts every week and I hope "Come Here" will be just as successful. Overall we give this song a 8.5/10.0... Cop that album October 2nd! Pce

"Radio Spots of Aren B"
http://www.zshare.net/audio/38703152fff75e/

Interview with Aren B on 09/25/2007:

Brendon: One of the 1st questions we have to ask is what is the average day like in the life of Aren B?

Aren B: An average day is pretty busy for me even although i don't have a 9 to 5! When I wake up I usually start the day with several sets of push ups followed by a nice healthy breakfast...fruit and granola. I then hop on myspace to answer all my fan mail since i am a artist of the people... = ) Following that i head to my basement studio to begin voice warm ups to get me ready for recording. I am in the studio most of the day, and i end the day with a wonderful jog in the woods and a hard workout at the gym.

Brendon: What makes you so unique in r&b/hip-hop?

Aren B: I feel what makes me unique in R&B is not only my silky smooth falsetto, but my ability to beat box and rock a crowd! Not only that, I have a strong creative presence. Since I have obtained a degree in Web/Graphics, I am able to design, market and promote myself unlike many artists. I also write, record, mix and master all of my own material. On top of all of this, I also have a talent for acting and being in front of the camera.

Brendon: How old were you when you first started to really sing? Did you pursue singing or did your parents/guardians want you to pursue it?

Aren B: Although I grew up singing in the church at a young age, It was around 20 when I really started to pursue music hard core. Basketball was my first love. I played basketball in college on a scholarship.

Brendon: Were you ever in an r&b group? If so, details, please!

Aren B: Actually when I was in High school my two homies and I, Justin and Jamaro, had a little singing group called "SydeWaze." It was just for recreation though, nothing serious. No groups after that, and I don't want to be in a group.

Brendon: How old are you now?

Aren B: 24

Brendon: We heard you opened for Tyrese, how was that whole experience? Have fun? Where were the shows and were they small club shows or arena shows?

Aren B: That was a really dope experience. Meeting Tyrese and having the opportunity to open up for him was an honor. The show took place at "The Blue Note," a historical arena that names like Snoop, DMX and The Roots have performed.

Brendon: Do you have an album coming out any time soon? What's the name of it and why does it have this name?

Aren B: Right now I am currently working on an album but the release date has not been disclosed.

Brendon: Are you signed to a record label yet, if so who?

Aren B: I am not currently signed to a record label, but I work with a major production company that is making moves on my behalf as we speak. Green Ocean Music/GMB.

Brendon: You have an amazing song titled "Thirst"... Is there going to be a video anytime soon...?

Aren B: Yes. There has actually been brainstorming and a few ideas in development for a video for "Thirst." When the time is right, we will shoot it.

Brendon: What's the reason behind writing the song "Thirst"?

Aren B: Metaphorically, I wanted to portray any alcoholic beverage that could essentially be used to quench a females thirst...physically. = )

Brendon: What is the overall album mainly about?

Aren B: I write music about different angles of love, different situations of making love or falling into love, making passionate love. That's what the album is about, and that is what my music is about. I have been told my music puts one into a melodic state, takes one off into a world filled with cotton candy and passion, kisses and daydreams...

Brendon: Which singer, from any genre, most inspires you?

Aren B: Michael Jackson inspires me the most. I could never compare to such a great icon, but I have been told we have similar falsetto styles. He and Maxwell are the two I would have to say inspires me the most since my strength is singing in the falsetto range.

Brendon: Anyone featured on the album? Producers or Artists?

Aren B: Shhhh...can't tell! = )

Brendon: Who do you MOST want to do a song with? Why?

Aren B: This is a touchy subject for me because I always wanted to do a song with Aaliah. I loved her music, style, beats , the tone of her voice, her subject matter...everything!!

Brendon: You have a child, if we're correct from looking on the Myspace... What's his name? How is he as an inspiration in your music and everyday life?

Aren B: His name is Malachi...and he is my Prince!! He is 5 and he has 4 songs already. He is why I breath.

Brendon: Which artist, who is "in" right now, do you think gives you the most competition? Why?

Aren B: I would have to say Chris Brown because he is superior entertainer/performer at such a young age. His vocals are OK, but he commands the stage.

Brendon: How would you describe your self in one word?

Aren B: Aesthetic

Brendon: Do you have any upcoming concerts or tours? Where are they to?

Aren B: Nope. Under the radar...until I pounce on the music industry like a mongoose.

Brendon: Making any appearances on any shows / radio stations in the future? You should attempt to make an appearance at Jam'n 94.5 of Boston MA (jamn945.com) to spread your name and music around New England.

Aren B: Right now the Hit station that supports me is Q106.1 FM! http://www.q1061.com/

Brendon: Have an official website up and running? If so, what is the link?

Aren B: It is currently in development.

Brendon: You have a clean and cool look, is this your real style or is this what a fashion designer told you to wear(and how to dress)?

Aren B: I have a very eclectic style. I used to be the head Art Director for a fashion magazine, so I have superb taste in fashion, and always have. Since I am a Ex Collegiate athlete, I sometimes like to just wear sports apparel on a lazy day. Other times you may catch me punked out, GQ or just laid back with a hoodie.

Time for some Random questions:

Brendon: What is your real name?

Aren B: Brendan

Brendon: Where are you from, originally?

Aren B: Columbia, Missouri

Brendon: If i were to have you come to my [birthday] party... how much would it be? and would you actually come? haha.

Aren B: LOL I would come for free as long as you served BBQ llama knee caps and broiled hummingbird!!

Brendon: What kind of car do you drive & what color is it?

Aren B: I drive a Maroon Cadillac Deville

Brendon: What's the last thing you ate?

Aren B: Chinese. Orange chicken ummmm.

Brendon: What are your rituals before you perform?

Aren B: Basically I like to do my voice warm ups and that's it.

Brendon: Is there anything else you want to tell your fans/future fans?

Aren B: Nope. I think you covered everything with this HUMUNGO questionnaire!! = )

Brendon: We respect you and your movement a lot here at randbsmusicchoice.blogspot.com, is there any way we can get a copy of your CD? Tix to your show if your ever around Boston, MA?

Aren B: Sure, I'll Keep you posted. = )

Brendon: Have a great day and thank you so very much.
