Debut Album Alert!: Sean Garrett - Turbo 919

One of the most anticipated debut albums of the year is finally here people! Sean Garrett is one of the most amazing producers in the music industry, and has worked with numerous artists such as Chris brown, Britney Spears, Ciara, Usher, Omarion, and P.Diddy. Now he has decided to go in a little different direction in his career by producing his own debut album called "Turbo 919". This album is full of club bangas, as well as slow jams that will mesmerize you with his soft melodic voice. The-Dream who already released his debut album has a little competition after hearing this album... even though The-Dream has sustained a huge reputation in the music industry, Garrett is coming strong with a similar style of R&B. Now all we are waiting for is the other major producer/artist/songwriter Johnta Austin to release is much anticipated debut album "Ocean Drive" and all three of the hotshot producers will have a debut album on the store racks. Who will come out victorious? we'll have to see...

Review: Turbo 919
1.)
The album kicks it off with an amateurish intro called "Deep Deep Intro", which honestly wasn't needed... if the album started off with a club banga it would catch the listener's attention a lot quicker, rather than waiting a painful 1:13 just to hear the "first" song.
2.) The second song "What You Doin' With That" (produced by Garrett himself), is a jazzy club banga that has single potential written all over it. "You gotta pardon me love, but bodies don't come as hot as you got"... Very smooth and mature lyrics that lure the listener in.
3.) "Come on it" which features Akon, is a mid-tempo track that finds Garrett getting dirty when it comes to the lyrics... "I know your on fire cause ya man don't fuck ya right" lol. A very mature song that the album could do without.
4.) Another featured song, but this time from Lil' Wayne "Girlfriend Ringtone" is a pop-ish track that you could hear on The-Dream's album. Definitely a fun summer song that would good to just cruise to.
5.) The album/track title "Turbo 919" is a futeristic pop-ish track that you could hear being played over and over again in the clubs. Definetly could hear Britney Spears on the remix, cause it has that techno/dance type of beat.
6.) "I Still Believe Interlude" is a wonderful song... is you wanted to listen to an orchestra play all day! It's the definition of a filler, just a horrible choice of even having it on the album.
7.) "Lay up Under Me" (produced by Stargate) is a wonderful sexy joint, that just makes you wanna groove all night long. A wonderful choice for Garrett, both lyrically and melodically... you'll definitely have this song on repeat!
8.) "On the Hood" is an interesting song with an interesting concept... making love on the hood of your car? hmmm... idk what he was thinking with this song, but vocally an amazing song. The Lyrics sometimes make you laugh and just think wow are you serious? Otherwise a great slow jam for the album.
9.) "She Likes me Interlude" is another one of those interludes that honestly just take up space on the album, and is just a waste. He should of got rid of all the interludes.
10.) "6 in the Morning" is another futuristic jam that you could hear in any club scene. Garrett's club bangas are his best songs... and this song is a great interpretation of that. "Shawty got ass, just like thunder, makes a brotha wonderrrrr"
11.) "Grippin' " which features the great Luda himself is the first single off of this album and honestly gets kind of annoying after awhile... If it wasn't for the hook or Luda's verse this song would be garbage.
12.) "Patron" which features the techno/dance king Pharell is a great slow-tempo jam that makes ya just wanna snap your fingers. A great production from (The Neptunes), probably one of the best produced songs on the album.
13.) "Pretty Girl" is yet another futuristic pop-ish jam that just makes ya wanna dance... probaly one of the best on the album and definetely has single potential written all over it. A must listen!!!
14.) "Why" which has great flow throughout the song... can sometimes seem a little too repetitive, but definetely a good up-tempo track on the album.
15.) "One Day" has a beat that you could hear in the movie "The Notebook", because it has a very slow and soothing beat. This song is by far the best slow song on the whole album... Lyrically and vocally. A great ballad that you'll have on repeat for sure!
